September 18th commemorated the 40th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix’s untimely death. It also gave rise to many international events paying homage to one of music’s most inspirational legends of all time. The Handel House Museum in London recently curated “Hendrix in Britain” which featured several of Barrie’s images taken of Jimi in his flat which was on site some almost 40 years ago. Simultaneously, London’s Cumberland Hotel has dedicated a specially designed suite to Jimi Hendrix and some of Barrie’s mural-sized portraits of Jimi adorn the lobby walls and will remain on view for the next few months. READ MORE.
